Fellowship-trained and board-certified sports medicine surgeon Dr. Darius Moezzi joined Flagstaff Bone & Joint in 2004. He obtained his undergraduate degree in biochemistry from The University of Arizona in Tucson, Arizona, and his medical degree from the University of Nevada School of Medicine in Reno, Nevada. After medical school, Dr. Moezzi completed his general surgery internship and orthopaedic surgery residency at Tufts University and New England Medical Center in Boston, Massachusetts. Dr. Moezzi chose to specialize further and complete the San Diego Arthroscopy and Sports Medicine Fellowship at the University of California San Diego. He also completed a month-long traveling fellowship with the Arthroscopy Association of North America. Dr. Moezzi is board-certified and holds a subspecialty certificate in sports medicine through the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery.
Dr. Moezzi specializes in providing exceptional orthopaedic care for a wide array of bone, joint, and muscle injuries and conditions. He is highly skilled at performing arthroscopic surgery, ACL reconstruction, total and reverse shoulder replacement, total knee replacement, and partial knee replacement.
When Dr. Moezzi is not seeing patients, he enjoys skiing, cycling, triathlons, mountain biking, and spending time with his family.
