Flagstaff Bone & Joint Raises $1,040 for Local Schools With Proceeds From Sports Physicals

Flagstaff Bone & Joint provided 104 sports physicals for local student athletes on Saturday, June 2, and raised $1,040 in proceeds, which will all be given to the athletic departments of the schools the athletes attend. All area student athletes were welcome. The Sports & Injury Team at Flagstaff Bone & Joint offered the physicals at the practice’s office, located at 77 West Forest Ave., Suite 301, from 8 to 10 a.m. last week.

Each physical was performed by a licensed healthcare provider and cost $10 for the student athlete. In addition to donating 100% of the proceeds to each school’s athletic department, Flagstaff Bone & Joint matched the amount brought in by the student athletes of Coconino High School, donating $550 to their athletic department for a total of $1,100.

“At Flagstaff Bone & Joint, we understand that preventative care is paramount, especially when it comes to the safety of our student athletes,” says Darius Moezzi, M.D., sports medicine specialist at Flagstaff Bone & Joint. “We are thankful to everyone who participated, and we are grateful for the opportunity to give back to schools while meeting an important need for student athletes.”
