My Comeback Story: Marty M.

Marty-M
Keep Going

This was actually my second knee replacement at Flagstaff Bone & Joint. First the right knee then about nine months later we did the left knee. After a history of long distance hiking and a career in the backcountry of the High Sierra my knees were telling me it was time to quit. Then after one last thru hike, the 800 mile Arizona trail, I made the decision to go forward with surgery. Nine months later we were backpacking our way around Lake Tahoe on the rim trail. Other than being a bit wobbly at times I had virtually zero pain and was pleased to return to what I loved. You could wait a lifetime for some miracle cure or you could just go get it done and enjoy life without pain.
