My Comeback Story: James F.

James-F
Life returned.

I was in a downhill track before surgery, I couldn't walk more than a few steps at a time, I was gaining weight and was headed for depression. I had 2 total knee replacements about 7 months apart. I absolutely love Dr. Moezzi and his staff. He is a fantastic skilled surgeon, personable, has a sense of humor, actually listens to his patients, takes the time needed to understand how things are going, and I never felt like I was just another 15 minute appointment. His staff is also super professional and real personable people, not robots. The whole process was coordinated well, the intake was smooth and as stress free as possible considering I was about to have major surgery. The wake up period wasn't fun, but the staff was there and I felt supported and went well. They pretty much had the needed medications dialed in, and refills were provided as needed until I was well enough to go it alone. I immediately began home exercises, physical therapy twice a week for about 6 weeks for each knee. It's been about 9 month since the last knee was done and I'm walking and doing normal activities without pain. It's absolutely amazing. I'm strength training twice a week at the gym, working in the yard, climbing ladders, boating, jet skiing, swimming, hiking around, biking, camping, all the things I was unable to do but loved, prior to surgery. Best thing I've ever done for myself, I wished I had done it 5 years earlier. Dr. Moezzi is top notch and Flagstaff Bone & Joint is a fantastic medical organization. Just do it, life is waiting for you. Seize the moment.
