  • “From the beginning, Dr. Flint has been very informative of my condition and thorough with the testing, X-rays. etc. My rotator cuff was no longer able to be repaired and a replacement was what I needed to decide on, and Dr Flint explained the reverse procedure that was needed for this surfer. I was in pain, losing strength and motion with my right arm, and having difficulty sleeping at night. My surgery was scheduled with all the pre-op dates, and a class was offered to answer questions and give suggestion for preparing for the surgery. The surgical experience was successful, with Dr. Flint guidance and encouragement with the recovery road ahead I knew I had made the right decision. Living 40 minutes east of Kingman, my physical therapy was scheduled at Deering Therapy and I received excellent care and treatment there for 6 months. I continue to work on my own with exercises to continue gaining strength and range of motion.”

  • “Living in the Dewey/Prescott Valley area of the state, I have chosen to travel up to Flagstaff Bone & Joint for years now. I have orthopedic needs in hips, knees, hands and shoulders that I trust to no other orthopedic team. My husband was an emergency room physician for 38 years, and believed physicians in any specialty could be their best when associated with a Level I trauma hospital, with this group of orthopedics are. This trip I returned to Dr. Flint for my hand and shoulder. We talked, he listened, and we discussed options at this time because I am less than a year from having Medicare, but have no insurance at this time. We opted for steroid injections and Dr. Flint is aces.  Dr. Flint is also tender-hearted and helpful to me over the recent death of my husband.  I have brought several friends up to Flagstaff for this team - and those who chose to stay in the local Yavapai County orthopedic arena have not had good outcomes. Each one has said, in that ideal 20-20 retrospective view, that they should have listened to me. The friends who have seen the wonderful docs in this group have received quality care - as have I.”

  • “My second surgery with Dr. Flint. We found his clinical skills outstanding in every way. My husband is a physician and I spent a large part of my career as a health educator in film, video and print working with Physicians who were experts in their fields. I say this to indicate that we have a broad frame of reference to judge physicians who care for us. Dr. Flint's clinical skills, compassion, caring and patience are a blend not found in every surgeon. He has a rare gift and that we so appreciate. Even our PT commented on how impressed she was with my care and his professional guidance and communication. We have already referred several friends to Dr. Flint and are so grateful that a PT at Entire Care in Sedona told us about him.”

  • “I have a torn tendon in my right shoulder and thought I would need surgery.  Shared with the doctor that I did not want an MRI due to a fear of enclosed spaces. He re-assured me that it would be okay to have an x-ray. After reading the x-ray, the doctor said that I could try therapy first and see if that would help (and it was well worth the effort). It was comforting to know surgery was not the only option.   The visit was fast and thorough which was appreciated.”

  • “Last October, I fell while walking my Aussie puppy and broke my left wrist. Dr. Flint was my surgeon for the repair. The surgery went very well and recovery was aided by the expert physical therapy from Ariel Coffey. I have recovered most of my range of motion with no issues. I would highly recommend Dr. Flint and Ms. Coffey to anyone needing this type of surgery.”

  • “The operation and following rehab were both top-notch. I have almost 100% use of my shoulder and arm, which I didn't have before the operation. I can even sleep on my right side now, again which I could not do prior to the operation. I silently thank Dr. Flint almost every day of my life, and I recommend Flagstaff Bone & Joint to all my friends.”

  • “Wow, Ariel had an encouragement that you only dream of in a therapist. [Dr. Flint & Ariel] are a great team. While I was doing my therapy I watched and listened to her with many of the patients and over-and-over, time-after-time she game encouragement and praise to all her patients. She showed compassion, empathy and respect. I know that’s why I did as well as I did and I’m just as grateful to her.  Thank You Ariel. I have and will continue to recommend Dr. Flint & Ariel to others as well as Flagstaff Bone and Joint.”
