Flagstaff Bone & Joint Offering Safe, On-Site Care and Remote Televisits

In an effort to help prevent the spread of COVID-19 and reduce traffic and strain for hospitals, Flagstaff Bone & Joint will keep their Injury Care open as well as offer televisits to see patients with bone, joint and muscle concerns. These video-based appointments are performed from the privacy of a patient’s home with their smartphone, tablet, laptop or desktop and allow patients to interact directly with a Flagstaff Bone & Joint provider. The practice combines this approach with safe, on-site care following local and national health authority guidelines.

As an alternative to going to the emergency room for urgent orthopaedic care, patients with acute injuries can instead visit Flagstaff Bone & Joint’s Injury Care in Flagstaff at 77 West Forest Ave., Suite 301. Their Injury Care service offers same-day care for bone, joint and muscle injuries. Injury Care hours are Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., and walk-ins are accepted.

“We want to do our part to reduce the stress on our health system so that emergency departments and hospitals can focus on general medical issues and helping people with illnesses,” says Flagstaff Bone & Joint CEO Joe DelGiorgio.

“The health and safety of our patients and staff are our top priorities,” adds DelGiorgio. “By continuing to offer safe treatment through our Injury Care service as well as remote televisits, we can minimize risk of potential viral exposure to as many individuals as possible.”

Through televisits, the practice’s specialty-trained experts provide consultations, care plans, follow-up care and physical therapy evaluations and treatment for bone, joint and muscle injuries and conditions. This secure, modern platform is compliant with federal health privacy laws and offers area residents accurate, quality orthopaedic care without risk to themselves as well as the practice’s providers and staff.

Flagstaff Bone & Joint also has safety protocols in place for their in-person services that may be necessary for further diagnosis or treatment. New clinic schedules have been designed to limit the number of patients in their offices at any given time:

  • Their Flagstaff clinic and physical therapy services at 77 West Forest Ave., Suite 301, are welcoming new and established patients with acute or chronic orthopaedic conditions Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
  • Their Kingman clinic at 2331 Hualapai Mountain Road, Suite A, is open, and patients will be seen by appointment only Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
  • Patients who are typically seen at their Cottonwood clinic will now be seen through televisits only.
