Jennifer Almendarez, MS, is a certified physician assistant (PA-C) who joined Flagstaff Bone & Joint in 2012 after relocating to Arizona from Connecticut. She worked with the Spine Center at Flagstaff Bone and Joint for 5 years and recently began working with Dr. Amber Randall to care for patients with orthopedic injuries and conditions of the hip and knee. She works with patients to develop personalized treatment plans that fulfill their physical activity and lifestyle goals and orchestrates pre and postoperative care for patients undergoing knee or hip replacement surgery. Jennifer is also skilled in multiple guided injection techniques.
In additional to her clinical duties with Dr. Amber Randall, Jennifer is the lead clinician of the osteoporosis program (bone health) at Flagstaff Bone and Joint. She is certified to interpret DXA (bone density studies), and also has advanced training in the treatment of osteoporosis. Jennifer is an Ambassadors Leadership Council Member for the National Osteoporosis Foundation.
Jennifer obtained her bachelor of science in allied health studies, as well as her master's of science in physician assistant studies from Springfield College in Massachusetts. She also has extensive experience in emergency medicine, cardiothoracic surgery, spine surgery, and hospitalist medicine.
In her free time, Jennifer is an avid equestrian and enjoys hiking, running, and spending time with her family.
