| Exercising and getting in shape before the ski season can significantly reduce the chance of injuries for skiers. Skiers need to be aware that it's not as simple as just jumping off the lift and heading down the mountain. Physician Torey Botti, of Flagstaff Bone and Joint, said overall good physical health is important to stay safe on the slopes.
