Discussion of Individual Patient Goals. When you come to see Dr. Randall regarding an injury, she will sit down with you to discuss your goals for recovery. Dr. Randall makes certain she is fully aware of your goals so everyone has the same expectations for the treatment.
Comprehensive Evaluation. After post-treatment goals and expectations are established, an evaluation of symptoms and health history is performed. During the initial evaluation, Dr. Randall will use simple tests such as flexion and range of motion to zero-in on the problem. If necessary, this is followed by more diagnostic testing which may include: X-Ray, Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), or computed tomography (CT) scan.
Diagnosis. After all necessary tests and patient analysis is over, Dr. Randall will explain to you a diagnosis. You can feel confident that the diagnosis was only given after thorough consideration and deliberation.
Treatment Plan. After the diagnosis is provided, Dr. Randall will discuss a treatment plan that is the best approach to achieve the desired goals. Treatments may include physical therapy, injection therapy, less invasive surgery, medication, or surgery. No matter what the treatment entails, you will get the attention necessary for recovery. This includes follow-up appointments to periodically see how the treatment has progressed and discussions about preventing similar injuries in the future.
